Mosquitoes test positive for West Nile Virus in Berthoud.
West Nile Virus (WNV) has once again been detected in Berthoud. The Vector Index (VI) which measures the level of risk of WNV in an area is currently 1.13. A VI above 0.5 predicts cases of WNV will occur in humans, and a VI above 1.0 is strongly correlated with increased human cases.
