Private Swim Lessons

Program Overview

Berthoud Recreation offers private swim lessons for all ages and abilities. Private lessons are offered as a 1:1 instructor-to-swimmer ratio, and as a semi-private lesson as a 2:1 swimmer-to-instructor ratio. When conducting, semi-private swimmers must have similar swim abilities and be approved by the instructor to do the semi-private lesson. A private swim instructor application must be submitted online or at the Berthoud Recreation Center. Once your application is received, the Aquatics Specialist will review your application and place you with the best-suited instructor for your skill, ability, and availability.

  1. Once we recieve your application

1.     An instructor will reach out to you based on their availability to schedule your first lesson once an instructor is assigned your request.

2.    You will then create a schedule with the instructor that works for both parties.

3.    On the first day of your scheduled lesson, you will need to purchase your swim lessons at the front desk and bring the receipt to the instructor.

4.    Each time you come in for your lesson, you must check in at the front desk.

5.    Cancellation within 24 hours will result in the loss of a lesson with no makeup or refund.
